Interesting weekend. I went up by myself - Deb and Jo came up late Saturday (they have tomorrow off). I woke up during the night on Friday night and it was freaking snowing. Woke up a couple of hours later and had no power. Didn't have power till close to 2 in the afternoon. The 4 to 6 inches of snow is all gone now. It was close to 60 out today.

I finished trimming out the windows in the 'great room'. Deb and Jo have gotten to the stairs (about what is covered by the tar paper) and should be done by tomorrow.

I put one drawer pull on - the rest will go on in the next week or so.

Deb varnished the loft floor last weekend.

I tiled the breakfast bar today. I will grout it next weekend. The quality control on the tiles was non existent. The tiles vary is size both length and width and in thickness. The grout lines appear crooked but it is what it is. These tiles are also subject to crazing. I still think it was the perfect tile for the job.

Living Room Floor

In 2 weeks Deb and Jo will put in the living room floor so I am getting it ready for them. The first piece is being glued down so that there are no face nails at the beginning. I hope this works because that piece of flooring ain't moving.

Stair Rails

John and Angie came up this weekend. John and I put up the loft rails and He sanded the loft floor. Deb will varnish it next weekend. Thank you John - the help was really needed this weekend. Just remember that there is still some Coors Light with your name on it in the fridge:)

These are the only 2 holes that had to be drilled to install the posts and rails. I obviously didn't drill straight.

Stair Posts

Last Week I put up the stair posts, I had to have a friends dad make a bracket for the corner post. Thanks Rose:)
