last weekend

In no particular order:

The pantry. Doug put the paneling up and we finally put up the shelves. Still needs to be trimmed out (story of this project)

So I took out the screens to varnish 2 small parts of the jambs that are hard to get at. Imagine my surprise when I had all these flies camped out.

The bedroom windows are trimmed - not to mention the ceiling:)

The top of the jambs stick out some places up to 1/4" which results in the gap that is shown. I think I have to live with it.

The rosettes. Notice the apparent difference in the paint color between this and the above picture. I would say that this picture more accurately represents the color.

Behind the wood stove I am going to put a stone wall. The contractor built a foundation wall for my stone flush to the floor height. Deb and I then decided to have a raised hearth for the stove. The choice was flush with the floor, a tripper (1" - 2" above floor height) or 12" so that we could sit on - we opted for 12". Because of this I needed to extend the foundation up to the the hearth, which is what is shown. I still have to cut out the rest of the drywall above the cement board to put 3' more of cement board. The wall will be 5' above the hearth.
